My feeling is that the Amerks owner and the City of Rochester would make the wrong move if the split happens. These two teams feed off each other and is very good for both the Rochester and Buffalo economy. If the Amerks leave Rochester it will hurt an already depleting city!

Wow it’s been busy. Work has been taking most of my life since my last post and probably will continue till December 1st. I have been trying not to let it take over so I haven’t been doing any work on the weekends. This Saturday Jen and I are going up to Tampa to see the Buffalo Sabres Vs. Tampa Bay Lighting Hockey Game. I am really excited; I haven’t been to a NHL game in about 2 years.

It’s the end of October and our first cold front has pushed through Southwest Florida. It has been in the 90’s and humid every day and when the temp and humidity drops, even if it’s just to 80 you feel it. Fortunately today when I left for work the temperature was 66. Last night we were able to have dinner on the lanai and it was comfortable.

NHL Center Ice has taken over my TV life. This is pretty much all that I like to do at night time. Throw on a game and work on the computer. The best part is that I have seen all the Buffalo Sabres Games so far, though 3-5 isn’t anything to brag about. 14 channels of hockey probably was the best $149.00 I spent (at least on TV programming).

I have ordered my new TV! It’s a Sony (go figure) 50’ SXRD Rear Projection (Model: KDS-50A3000). This is going to make watching TV so much better. Jen thinks it’s to big but I guarantee she will love it. I can’t wait to see the Wink News cast in high def and Hockey. I sense more TV watching coming on.

Yesterday I called and tried to get NHL Center Ice through Comcast but was only sort not successful. They did have the code to enter into the system and they told me the price, $149.00 for the season, but when the agent tried to add the code into my system the computers kept telling them that I didn’t have a cable box. We’ll try again today. Now all I need is my TV (KDS50A3000).

The only time I am really able to watch them is when they play the Florida Panthers. Those games are on Fox Sports Network out of Miami. Well I think I have found something that every hockey fan should know about. While doing a quick search of Comcast.net for something I came across NHL webcasts. Last week I watched a Buffalo and it was great. It was a re-broadcast of MSG’s feed. Simply awesome! Good quality and no bumps in the road. I will be watching all the games from now on.
