Moo Cards

MooDo you have a Flickr Pro account? Do you want to print your images on Business like cards? Well you are all set! Last night Andy sent me an instant message about moo.com. It simply said something like “Go to moo.com to get some free stuff. Only for Flickr.com Pro users.” When I got over to the site I saw that you can get 10 free cards with your flickr images printed on the front and anything your want on the reverse. This is such a good concept. Here is how it works.
First your must have a Flickr Pro account

  1. Point your browser to moo.com
  2. Click on the I want some button.
  3. I clicked on the 10 free cards for flickr.com pro users (the button is labeled Make a 10 pack)
  4. Moo.com loads Flickr with a privacy statement asking if it is ok for moo to log into your account with the username and password that you feed it. You must say ok to this since moo needs to load your pictures for your cards.
  5. Once you have completed the login, you can select your best pictures from your Flickr account and drag them into the selection bar that is displayed below your images. To remove an image from your selected images just click and drag it to the trash.
  6. Once you have added your photos continue to the next page to add any information to the back of the card. I think there is a maximum of 5 or 6 lines. If you are doing the 10 free cards the Flickr logo and if you want your Flickr icon will be displayed on the right side of the card.
  7. When you are finished click the next button on fill out your information for mailing and billing information.
  8. You’re done! Just allow moo 10 working days to mail you your cards. Just remember your cards are shipping from London, UK

This is a marvelous idea. What a great use of the Flickr API. I ordered my 10 free ones yesterday. Hopefully the quality is good because I may be in the market to purchase 100 cards. Heck its only $19.95 for 100! For start-ups and especially photographers this is a great idea for business cards. Display your work on your cards. I will probably be writing about the process and quality once I receive the cards.

Favorite Photos – The Start

I have decided that I am going to start to share some of my favorite photos that I have taken. All of my pictures are available on my flicker site so feel free to look around. I have just started to get into taking lots of pictures. I enjoy trying to capture that best moments, but most of the time I will take 300 photos with only 3 good ones. However, my photo eyes are getting better! All my photos are taken with a Canon Digital Rebel on a 1 gig memory card.

Here is one of my favorites. Davis Anthony Farrell enjoying his pacifier after his baptism.
