Every Sunday morning I like to watch the CBS “Sunday Morning” Show. It’s more relaxing news that makes you feel good especially on a Sunday Morning. They have some really good segments that they do and it looks really good in HD. Oh yea, and who can forget the awesome bow-ties worn by Charles Osgood.

Well this Sunday they did a segment on Reveling in ‘America’s Best Idea’, Filmmaker Ken Burns Talks About His Latest Documentary, a History of Our National Parks. It was a great segment however, one lower third caught our eye.

Anyone see it? Look at the map. Wyoming is on top of Montana! It should be the other way around! Pretty crazy that no one caught that including the producer!

It should look like this.

I have been watching most of the daily briefings of the Utah coal mine collapse and at first thought that Robert E. Murray, CEO of Murray Energy, and owner of 50% of the mine was the real deal. He was up-beat and wasn’t putting up with any of the media’s nonsense. It was great watching him. At one point he stopped the press briefing due to a media chopper in the area. He waited till it was gone saying he has told the media basically there was nothing here to see with helichoppers. At other times he was so set in believing that an earthquake was the cause of the collapse that he went to great lengths to supply data to show just that. Many media and other scientists don’t think this, and say the seismic activity was caused by the collapse of the mine. But, after listening to last nights briefings I have gone with the opinion that this guy is a whack job. He keeps saying that the families of the minors and the minors are all that matters, but it seems as though every time he steps in front of the damn camera he is trying to defend himself and his mine. Last night he allowed some media to go in the mine with them to show them just what’s going on (CNN Video here). Maybe it is just the way he carries himself in front of the media. I am sure that if the outcome is not what everyone hopes for you will see him on an all out media blitz to defend his operation and his image.

I was suppressed that I couldn’t find a wikipedia article on him or his energy company.

Here are some interesting articles that I have found online and are worth reading.

“Mine Collapse: Spotlight On Murray Energy”

“Mine Owner Faces Old Foes After Collapse”

“Bob Murray uses Utah mining tragedy to attack Global Warming”

What do you think about this guy? Is he the Real Deal or a Total whack Job?

At the time many residents said that they would travel to the Tampa area to get the discounted price. Well they don’t have to and you won’t have to go to Wal-Mart either if you choose. Yesterday Wal-Mart announced that they will be extending their prescription generic drug program to all Wal-Mart’s in the state of Florida. They have also added to the list of drugs that you can buy increasing it to 314. For some of the better news, Target in order to keep some of their market share has extended there match program too! Hopefully more of these moves will happen on the forefront making prescription drugs cheaper for all. This is a good step in the right direction for healthcare and the government had nothing to do with it!

Oh yeah this all goes into effect Tomorrow Oct 6th, 2006!

Wal-Mart in the Tampa Bay area is now offering Generic Prescription drugs for $4.00 for a 30 day supply. This is incredible! Now Target, also in the Tampa Bay area is going to match Wal-Mart’s Deal. This is also good! However, why now? Are Wal-Mart and Target going to be losing money on there generic drugs. Think about this. Up until this week these same generic drugs didn’t cost $4.00 for a 30 day supply. This can only make me understand why people have been buying there meds from other countries. It was cheaper and still is! How much was Wal-Mart really profiting off of there pharmacy since this announcement? I have heard on the news that some people here in Fort Myers, FL will travel the 2 hours to Tampa Bay area to get there medication. Though, I would ask if these generic drugs are coming form the same sources as before. It seams odd that they can offer a 30 day supply at $4.00 when they where charging more just weeks ago. What do you think?

All American Flags should be flown at Half-Staff where acceptable.

Individual Homes should display the American Flag.

A Moment of Silence should be observed at 8:46am.

Spread the word, and let people know that don’t. I am sure that there are a lot of people that remember the day but don’t know that it is a National Day of Remembrance. More on “What I was doing 5 years Ago” on Monday.
