With the World Series only one game away from a potential winner I decided to go search through the Prints and Photographs collection from the Library of Congress for some old World Series photos.  This one shows umpires in the 1916 World Series game which featured the Boston Red Sox and the Brooklyn Robins.  Stats from this series can be found at baseball-almanac.com.

You can find many more amazing World Series photographs from the Library of Congress on the LOC Prints and Photographs site.

Actually, it may only be 3.5 innings away from a winner!
