What about the odiousness of McCain's associations with Gordon Liddy, John Hagee, Ron Parsley, and as part of the Keating Five? What about Palin with Rev. Muthee and the Alaska Independence Party? If the McCain camp wants to criticize Obama, then they will have to also address all of their baggage.

I think that both tickets have both risen from a "corrupt political machine" (though I haven't read anything about Biden other than plagiarizing speeches in '88). I think Obama is a lot closer to a politician than he is perceived. But, I'm voting on the policies and mine align more with Obama than any other candidate (Note: I voted for Kucinich in the primaries).

One big issue that doesn't get a lot of attention is the desire to change the global perception of America. I want to travel abroad someday, and I don't want to pretend I am from Canada (yes, I am proud to be an American, but I do not stand for the Bush Doctrine).

Anyway, McCain doesn't have a chance.
