What I like about Pay Per Post

A long time back I posted about how I was trying out this new thing on the web.  It’s called Pay Per Post.  This company pays you to write posts on your blogs.  It’s quite the cool marketing plan.  What I like the best about payperpost is you really don’t need to have Google ads on your blogs.  It’s great, you no longer need ads on blogs!  However, I will still choose to keep my ads since they are making some money.  Not much but enough to keep them on the site.  Many people don’t think payperpost is real.  As of today they have deposited $40.00 into my paypal account and there are still even more pending payments.  All this is why I like Pay Per Post.  What do you think about it?

Dance Comes to a “Grinding” Halt

DanceA dance at Fayetteville-Manlius High School in Fayetteville, NY (just outside of Syracuse, NY) has come to a grinding halt. Administrators at the school have canceled the dance due to suggestive dancing. Grinding also known as freaking was spotted at previous dance events and has concerned parents and staff. The previous dance had been stopped 15 minutes early due to the sexual dancing. An administrator was quoted in the Syracuse Post Standard as saying

“The next dance, to be held in February, will be combined with an “activity night,” with alternatives such as volleyball and badminton offered. If someone is caught “grinding,” they’ll be asked to leave the dance floor and can join another activity.”

This is just what high school’ers want to do, play volleyball with there friends on a Saturday night while all there friends are dancing. Should we be worrying about how students are dancing? I’m not sure this is an issue that our schools should be worrying about. The school system needs to focus more on education and getting kids to learn. What do you think?

Backup All Your DVD’s, No Matter What Size

Have you ever run into a problem while trying to backup a DVD? Well you probably have, and it most likely it had to do with the DVD being to big to burn or had a loop in the encryption. Well let not your hearts be troubled. A Solution has been found. If you want to back up a DVD that you already own here is how you do it.

  1. Download RipIt4Me Installer and install it. This will install RipIt4Me and DVD Decrypter
  2. Then install and download DVD Shrink.
  3. Once you have RipIt4Me installed double click on the icon and then click the 1 Click button in the right. Follow the directions. You may have to specify some paths to programs. If you do the application will prompt you. What the application does is decodes and rips the DVD files to your harddrive.
  4. Once it is finished it will load DVD Shrink.
  5. When DVD Shrink opens click on the back up icon in the title bar. This will again rip the DVD to you hard drive and then prompt you for a blank DVD to be inserted.
  6. Once it’s burned double check the burnt DVD in your DVD player to see if it burned correctly (don’t just check the beginning chapters check the credits too!) That’s it, easy as 1-2-3.

If you have any problems leave them in the comments.

Web Development Tools

Web Books Doug found this web development tool kit that I thought I should share. This is an extensive vault of all things web development. It has information about apache, how to make money, CSS, CMS, Ajax, and lots of other coding snippets. I was looking at this site yesterday and saw a lot of changes that I am going to try to make to doswfl this weekend.

UPDATE: I was surprised to find that under the Content Management Systems (CMS) section I did not find WordPress.  I think this is one of the best free (open source) CMS packages out there.  WordPress.org allows you to install it on your system or you can go to wordpress.com which is hosted and free!
