w00t!

I can’t believe my girlfriend has use the words w00t in her away message. This is what she said,

woot woot interview…

She is totally not a computer nerd but I guess I can start to call her one. the definition of woot is:

The term “w00t” is a slang interjection used to express happiness or excitement, usually over the Internet. The expression is most popular on USENET posts, multiplayer computer games (especially first-person shooters), IRC chats, and instant messages, though use on the World Wide Web in the form of weblogs or in forums is by no means uncommon.

Web Apps: The Future

Future of Web AppsDo TV news Executives really know that much about what is good on the internet and what is bad? In an article on Reuters entitle “CBS wants to buy the next YouTube, not Youtube”, Moonves states, Maybe we would look for the next YourTube, the next great idea that’s not spread across the world. Another iPod?

iPodSeriously, am I the only person on the internet that could give a damn about another iPod? It seams like every 4 months or so Apple releases another version of there iPod. I mean what is this one going to have in it, another 512mb of disk space making it the only MP3 player on the market to have 1.5 gigs? The biggest problem is that users not like me but maybe you will buy the damn thing. Apple on the other hand is very smart in their marketing techniques. This is a company that will get everyone all hyped up, even the main stream media over a simple little 3.5 index card or email that will says something like join us on such a date, and have a phrase like “10 songs in your pants!” Maybe it’s me, maybe not. If 9/11 wasn’t this week all the news from the blogging community would be about this new announcement (at least 1/2 of it is already). All I can say is congrats to Apple for brain washing people with your marketing ads. It’s working. In fact I may buy a Mac soon too! On the other hand, the releasing of a new iPod every 4-6 months is getting ridicules. Sooner or later people will realize and stop purchasing them. I mean come on I would be pissed if I bought an iPod like 4 months ago and another newer one is coming out already![tags]Apple, iPod, Marketing, Computers, Mac, [/tags]
