More on Ads

September 19th, 2006

I just saw this post over at Micro Persuasion on Wikipedia and Google Adwords. I have been on this kick now for about a couple of weeks on getting Google ads working for me. As you might know so far they haven’t. So I find it very intresting that Wikipedia, if it is them, are taking out ads via Google to generate traffic or money. Take for example the search of “crowdsourcing”. This generates as the third of fourth advertisment on the Google Adwords but its like the second listing in the normal search. Why would they be doing this? Is Wikipedia losing money on this or making more on traffic?

Today’s Featured article is on Cornell University, which is in Ithaca, NY. Just down the road from where I grew up.
