Gamma

GamaNo Not the Car but Flickr which is now in the state of gamma, which is good and bad. The good part is that the site is getting better and this means we are almost at a stable (if that’s what you want to call it) release. The bad part is, I think Gamma is going to now be part of the indefinable Web 2.0 world. More sites will now go alpha, beta, gamma, release. We have seen it with the invites with Google. Anyone want to bet on this? This bet is only to be followed up by “The Myth, Reality & Future of Web 2.0” (thanks to Matt for the link)

And it’s Sold!

FerryThe Rochester Fast Ferry has been sold for $29.8 million dollars. That’s the good news for the city. The Bad news is that they will still be in debt $19 million and still have to pay The Port of Toronto $250,000 CAD a year for 13 Years. You can blame ex Mayor Bill Johnson for that deal. It’s always good to screw the city that you governed months before you leave office. FYI – ex Mayor Johnson is now a tenured Professor in Public Policy at RIT.

The Ferry was sold to a British company named Euroferries.
