I have noticed in the past few days that wordpress.com is coming along fast. Recently they have released some awesome functionality that I wish I had in my wordpress site. It kind of looks like WP.com is like a beta testing for WP.org release candidates, if you understand what I am trying to say. New features will appear in WP.com and when a new version of WP.org is released they have those WP.com features. Some of the new features that they have put out are privacy functionality, where you can choose to have your site indexed by search engines such as google, and Technorati or you can choose not to be listed anywhere. They have also have released video functionality. You are now able to integrate Google video and youtube videos into your posts. That’s pretty cool. Other features include site stats that don’t count your hits and multiple language support. So with all these new features in WP.com I’m hoping that WP.org 2.0.2 or 2.1 will have them included. So what version of WP do you use?

On the other hand, I have use many blogging packages and haven’t found a top notch one till now. I feel that wordpress is the leader in blogging tools and will continue to be with fast development and turn-around. There is much debate about open-source software and this application proves that it can be done!
