Actively Searching

Another sad loss at the diamond, I can’t believe it but ePlus is now 1-3. Hitting was the source of our lose yesterday but the bar was fun after the game. So let me update you on my apartment search. First off the status is “Still Looking.” I’m having some problems, but I can’t say that I have been putting a great effort into looking. I have only looked at one place and it wasn’t even that good. What really pissed me off was when I went to the rental office I told them that I was here for a scheduled appointment. The lady at the desk then got all huffy and puffy like she was so inconvenienced by my presence. It really wasn’t the greatest first impression and totally though me off. Then they proceeded to show me something that wasn’t even ready. Total time of visit: 4 minutes.
I wasn’t happy from the beginning of the visit and probably should have left after meeting the lady in the office.

I also have one call in to some lady that I found on therentersguide.com and a bunch of calls into my landlord. Hopefully my landlord will be able to help me out but she is out of town.

Today’s list of work to do is finish the wonderful job I do at work, laundry when I get home, get charcoal and rolls for dinner, website work, and some wine and relaxation. What’s your day going to be like?

All we need is a “Shade Ring”

I have had so much to do and I think I am finally catching up on it all. Work has been good, but I have been putting in at least 10 or 11 hours a day. So since I last posted I have purchased my new SUV and I have had it for about a month. I love it, it drives well and still has that new car smell too. I have been going home alot, almost every weekend since Jen has left and it has been busy there too. My parent’s house is moving alog slowly but surely. Still lots to do but it’s getting there. This weekend I think there is more work that needs to be done on the outside (landscape). Hopefully we can get a chunk of it done this weekend so that I can maybe spend some weekends in Rochester. I need time to crank out my brothers web site for Moravia Bands too and staying in Rochester where I have computer access would help. That shouldn’t take me more than a month to complete though. I have been working on it slowly and have promised him it would be done by August. Though I haven’t given him a hard date yet.

Something that hasn’t changed since the previous post is the tempature. I guess Global warming is hitting hard. Though the weather is still odd. It’s going to be about 95ish today at 6pm during our softball game and the humidity is going to be unreal. I can feel it right now and I’m inside at work with the air cranked. I did see something on the Drudge Report about a ring that could stop/prevent global warming. All we need to do is put a shade ring around the earth. Should be simple and cost effective, it only tops out at $6 trillion to $200 trillion.

Softball game today 6pm Cobbs Hill Park.. ePlus 1-2

Beat the Heat

It all started on Wednesday. And it hasn’t really ended yet. I’m talking about the weather. It’s been 90+ everyday and the humidity has been out of this world. Any other place this would be ok, but in CNY not many people have air conditioning since most of out weather is 70 or below. Occasionally we will get in to the 90’s but not 4 days in a row. It’s great that we get the nice weather just cant some one just turn off the humidity valve. It’s kind of like when you go to Niagara Falls. You just want to be like ok can someone just turn off the water. This week the heat will get beat. I don’t think that there is much more left of the month of June. Yeah it’s only June. What’s it going to be like in August?

Another One Bites the Dust

12:01A.M. and I was just getting home from my slow pitch softball game. Now its 8:20ish the next day and I have been at work for just over 1 hour. Let me tell you, I am one tired person. Last night I went to the bar for about one hour, just before our game which started at 10:15P.M. The game started on time but we dragged it out with lots of runs and stranded base runners. It was a pretty good game even though we lost. During the day I was told that I might have to pitch but when it was game time I was to be found in center field. Nothing was hit to me except for some grounders. Had one god hit to third and one Strike out but didn’t score on any hits. Looks like I’ll be buying the first pitcher of beer next game for going down swinging.

This weekend I am going to head home to do some landscape work with my father and celebrate his birthday. I know that both my brothers want to see my new car so I might have to do some driving this weekend. Next week maybe…I can make it to Ikea with Brian and Allison, but that’s a big maybe. However before any of that can be done, Today is Laundry Day!

My First Big Purchase

Well, Well, Well…I have made my first big purchase. A New Car! (In my Bob Barker voice). On Sunday I went over to Billy Fuccillo and (which I met and had a small conversation with) and purchased a 2005 Hyundai Tucson. Yesterday I drove home to pick it up. It’s really nice. I love it (pictures to come).
Other than that I am broke. No money for anything till the next pay day. However, this weekend I think I am going to go home maybe play some golf and go to the lake and do some work. Not much more to do since Jen is still in London. Although, I do have some web work that I could do. I promised Nick that I would get his site done by August. For now it’s back to work…
